The SBIR Road Tour is scheduled to come to Des Moines on Wednesday, May 22.
Des Moines was recently announced as one of 16 stops on the U.S. Small Business Administration’s SBIR Road Tour. The tour is designed to connect entrepreneurs with sources to early-stage funding – the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs.
Each SBIR Road Tour stop will be hosted by a local organization involved in supporting entrepreneurs in next-generation research and development. Des Moines stop will be hosted by the Iowa Innovation Corporation.
“Iowa Innovation Corporation is thrilled to be a chosen host on the Central Plains SBIR Road Tour,” said Anne Price, Statewide SBIR/STTR Program Coordinator.
Following that, program managers from participating federal agencies will conduct one-on-one meetings with attendees, take part in targeted panels, discuss technology areas and share insights into how the agencies make funding decisions.
Attendees will have the opportunity to meet directly with Federal Program Managers while learning about Iowa’s local innovation support infrastructure.
