ClayandMilk.com—a Des Moines-based news publication covering Iowa’s tech, startup and art communities—is looking to hire an intern to cover the 2018 Legislative Session at the Iowa State Capitol.
ClayandMilk.com launched in January of 2017 to tell the stories that aren’t being told. And by having a presence at the 2018 Legislative Session, we will monitor the legislation that impacts the communities we cover. The intern will have flexibility in creating content and report to an editor.
We’d like the candidate to have strong writing skills, experience with various storytelling methods, social media platforms and an interest in politics.
This is a paid position with varying hours. We can be flexible with scheduling.
We hope this could be a beneficial partnership that leads to increased awareness for the ClayandMilk.com brand and real-world experience covering statehouse politics for the intern.
We would need somebody to start the first day of the 2018 Legislative Session, Jan. 8, 2018.
If interested, please send your application to joey@clayandmilk.com with a short cover letter, resume, references and link to clips by Jan. 1, 2018.
