Involta, the Cedar Rapids-based information technology and consulting company, has acquired IT|Lynk, an IT managed services firm based in Independence, Ohio.

Involta will retain all 18 IT|Lynk employees, expanding the Involta team to 250 employees nationwide.

“Involta has experienced significant growth over the last several years,” said Bruce Lehrman, CEO and Founder, in an announcement. “IT|Lynk and Involta are very closely aligned, and we’re looking forward to blending our teams, strengthening our business relationships in northeastern Ohio and helping our customers with their cloud and IT service needs.”

This marks the second acquisition this year for Involta. The company purchased BluPrairie in Coralville in October.

“This is the best way of growing our offerings and support to our clients,” said Chris Gurko, CEO of IT|Lynk. “This step allows us to continue to provide efficient, cost-effective and integrated services, while also offering more options aligned to our partners’ business goals.”
