Cedar Rapids nonprofit NewBoCo announced last week that Guy Raz will participate in a virtual event discussing entrepreneurship from 12-1 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 1.
Raz is the host, co-creator, and editorial director of three NPR programs, including two of its most popular ones: TED Radio Hour and How I Built This.
Raz will cover topics such as the earliest days of a startup, raising money and recruiting employees, fending off competitors, and paying yourself a real salary.
“Guy Raz has interviewed more than 200 highly successful entrepreneurs. We’re excited for him to share the stories he’s heard and tips he’s learned that apply to every entrepreneur’s journey,” said NewBoCo in a release announcing the event.
Attendees will receive a copy of Raz’s new book “How I Built This,” and have the opportunity to ask questions during this interactive virtual session.
Tickets are $45 and available now.
