Inc. Magazine released its “Inc. 5000 regionals: Midwest 2021” list on Tuesday and 7 Iowa companies made the list.
The Midwest List is comprised of the fastest-growing private companies in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.
Topping the list of Iowa companies was MCI in Iowa City, coming in at rank 31 nationwide. The company saw a two-year-growth of 326%
Ranking right behind them at 35 is WorkHound, a retention and referral company for frontline workers.
“As the COVID-19 pandemic sent shockwaves throughout the United States’ economy, and in particular the trucking industry, our feedback platform quickly became viewed as a necessary tool keeping fleet managers in regular contact with their drivers across the country,” said Max Farrell, WorkHound CEO in a release. “Moments of disruption often lead to technological leaps, and COVID-19 certainly served as a catalyst, driving more industry leaders to evaluate and adopt the best tools and practices available to stay in sync with their distributed workforces.”
Other Iowa companies that made the list include Pet Parents (no. 53), First Mainstreet Insurance (no. 75), Rocket Referrals (no. 94), McClure (no. 99), and Clickstop (no. 112).
