Cloud-based business reporting platform Workiva announced its first acquisition earlier this month, acquiring OneCloud, a New York-based startup that offers code-free integration, automation, and data preparation for many complex technologies.
OneCloud is a four-year-old company that enterprises use to integrate and unify data from thousands of applications across on-premises or cloud infrastructure, allowing businesses to generate insights by pooling and exchanging data from different apps.
The acquisition comes two years ago after Workiva began working with OneCloud as an original equipment manufacturer partner, gaining access to OneCloud’s integration platform as a service (iPaaS) technology.
Workiva says the deal will solidify and accelerate its position as “a leading cloud platform for financial, regulatory and operational reporting.”
“Digital transformations continue to accelerate at a rapid pace. Teams across the enterprise must quickly harmonize, simplify and control data, both financial and non-financial, from disparate source systems,” said Workiva CEO Marty Vanderploeg in a release. The acquisition of OneCloud enables just that and positions Workiva to push the boundaries of innovation for our platform and solutions.”
In September, Workiva is holding its annual user conference, where it will provide further information about this acquisition. Registration is available here.
The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
