Iowa State University will join more than 150 universities and colleges in celebration of Women Entrepreneurship Week happening October 18 to 22.
ISU will be holding two events on Wednesday, October 20:
Women Who Create Conference
The Women Who Create Conference will bring together women entrepreneurs, women business owners, aspiring entrepreneurs, and individuals for a full day of workshops and speakers aimed at starting or growing a business.
The conference will go from 8:30 am to 4 pm and will consist of several workshops and sessions. Some of the session topics include digital marketing, articulating your message, and business exits. The cost to attend is $50, limited to the first 50 people. ISU is offering the first 10 ISU students free registration.
SheTalks Community Event
Following the Women Who Create Conference, we invite the public to attend the uniquely inspiring SheTalks event: a community cocktail reception featuring six women who are creatively leading in their distinct fields. Taken from the Japanese-inspired Pecha Kucha, each presenter shows 20 slides, each for 20 seconds while telling their story. The event will be hosted at the ISU Research Park by the ISU Pappajohn Center for Entrepreneurship and is free to attend.
