The Iowa Go-To-Market (G2M) Accelerator has announced the two startups that will participate in its second cohort.
The G2M Accelerator is enabled by a grant to BioConnect Iowa and its partners, VentureNet Iowa and ISU Startup Factory, from the US Economic Development Administration. The accelerator is specifically designed to support Iowa companies developing technology-driven innovative products or services that have participated in another incubator, accelerator, or business assistance program, but could benefit from additional focused, customized guidance getting to market.
The following companies have been accepted into the February 2022 G2M cohort:
- SoilSerdem (Ames) – SoilSerdem utilizes machine-learning algorithms and remotely sensed information to create soil fertility maps with a goal of maximizing yield potential, minimizing the overapplication of fertilizers and improving water quality.
- Sublime Stericeuticals (Ames) – Sublime Stericeuticals is developing an innovative, highly efficient, reliable process to manufacture and package sterile drugs in a freeze-dried form.
“We are excited about the opportunity to work with SoilSerdem and Sublime Stericeuticals in the next phase of their journey,” Brody said in a news release. “Iowa G2M is an important part of the services and programs available to the bioscience startup community to move ideas forward and help companies navigate the path to commercial success.”
The G2M Accelerator now offers three start dates each year, in February, June, and October. Registration is now open for the third cohort set to begin in June. Cohort members will participate in group workshops, receive one-on-one mentorship and benefit from pro bono business support in a range of areas, including law, finance, branding, marketing, HR and recruiting.
