dsmHack 2022 will take place June 2-4 at West48 in West Des Moines.
The annual 48-hour hackathon will help local nonprofit organizations solve technology problems they’re facing. The event connects technology enthusiasts including developers, designers, and project managers and partners them with nonprofits selected through an application process.
Volunteers and nonprofits will come together to build and implement tools to make the area’s nonprofits operate more effectively so they can continue to focus on doing good.
Tickets for volunteer spots are still available, and the organization is encouraging people to sign up to volunteer for the event.
“dsmHack is super excited to announce we have selected some great nonprofits for this year’s hack,” wrote the organization in a tweet earlier this week. “We want to add more nonprofits, but ONLY if we get more IT professionals to join!”
The annual charity hackathon was originally scheduled for late March 2022, but was postponed until June 2-4, 2022 due to high COVID counts in Polk County through the winter.
