Applications are now open for the second cohort of the Builders + Backers Idea Accelerator, a new community-based accelerator program in Iowa City.
The Idea Accelerator is a 90-day, virtual program to get your idea off the ground. All accepted into the program will receive $5,000 in funding to help test out their business idea.
The first cohort of builders recently completed the inaugural program in Iowa City, and the program is now accepting applications for its second cohort of 10 builders. The accelerator is part of Heartland Forward’s commitment to funding and supporting 1,000 builders across the Heartland by 2023 and a summer cohort of builders across nine cities.
Those selected into the program will participate in the two-month long virtual cohort starting June 16. To apply, you must live in Johnson County. Applications are open until May 30th.
