Des Moines nonprofit Pi515 announced this week that it has been awarded a $200,000 Black Women Impact grant from Goldman Sachs’ One Million Black Women initiative.
The Black Women Impact Grants program will award 50 Black-led organizations throughout the United States with two years of general operational funding, ranging from $50,000 to $250,000. A total of $10 million will be invested through the financial institution’s multi-year program.
The money is available for any use and will be distributed over two years starting in July.
Applicants were chosen based on “their established efforts to deliver innovative and transformative solutions to narrow opportunity gaps faced by Black women,” according to a press release.
